Large number of candidates from Bihar and Jharkhand appear in the civil services examination every year. However, many candidates coming from economically humble background cannot afford expensive coaching available in big cities and feel that they are at a disadvantage. To provide free of cost guidance to such civil service aspirants, NACS launched the Margdarshan Programme. Officers posted in Bihar as well as in different parts of the country volunteered to devote their time and effort to guide the aspirants. The first such guidance program was held on November 13, 2016 in the auditorium of the Geology Department of Patna Science College. The journey started then has been touching new heights.
The enthusiasm and participation of aspirants made us think to guide them on a regular basis. To achieve this goal, a permanent venue was needed to hold the classes. NACS Patna Chapter held discussions with Patna university, which finally agreed to provide its classroom to NACS for holding regular classes. To give formal effect to this arrangement, NACS and Patna University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
NACS Margdarshan has launched “Web Class Facility” to enable officers serving in different parts of the country to provide guidance and support to the aspiring students at Margdarshan Patna. They need not come to Patna now and can take classes with just their laptops and internet connection. This will save time and money on one hand and enable more sustained regular classes for the aspiring students.
