Flood Relief

Floods have become an annual phenomena in Bihar and every year lakhs of people are affected by it. The 2019 Bihar floods affected 13 districts of northern Bihar and more than 88 lakhs people were severely affected. But this time under the guidance of senior officers like Shri B.K Prasad and Shri Bipin Kumar ,few motivated officers formed a team and took the initiative of creating a massive awareness drive for the flood relief campaign. Flood Donation camps were simultaneously held at different places like Benaras(coordinated by BHU students ),Ranchi(coordinated by BIT MESRA students and Ranchi District Administration) , Valsad(by Shri.O P Singh IRS) ,NACIN Faridabad( by Rahul –IRS C&E ),NADT Nagpur(by Basuki Jha and his team ), Income tax and postal office Nagpur along with other places .The drives were successfully completed and the relief materials of more than 12000 Kgs were transported within 1 month from various places . Patna Red Cross NGO was reached out to act as the final distribution centre of relief materials. To raise awareness for fund mobilization, special #I STAND WITH BIHAR ,#INDIA FOR BIHAR posters were created and they were widely popularized using social media platforms . PR Team of SUPER30 Fame Actor Hrithik Roshan was reached out and the actor took to his Twitter Account to share his concern.. Due to aggressive social media campaigning, lots of funds were directly mobilized in the CM RELIEF FUND .Many officers came forward for help in their individual capacity .This initiative shall act as a model for the upcoming campaigns and a seamless material distribution system via Red cross has been put in place which can be reused again and again for any disaster like event in Bihar .The core team of officers who were involved in this campaign (including coordination and dispatch) were Abhilasha Abhinav ,Kumar Deepak, Gunjan Mishra ,Abhinav Sidhartha ,Mohit and many more.The team under the guidance of seniors is still continuing its work and is trying to do its bit in this situation of flood calamity.
